About El Governor Beachfront Resort and Rates
El Governor Beachfront Resort is all-new, completely renovated since the damage of Hurricane Michael. We’re located directly on beautiful Mexico Beach with its sugar-white sands and amazing beach sunsets observed from your very own private balcony. We have 108 rooms with various room types to choose from.

All rooms have full kitchens which are stocked with basic supplies (K-cup coffee makers, dinnerware and other necessities). Rooms also have irons and ironing boards as well as hair dryers.

Two night minimum on weekends for the months of May, June, and July
New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day holidays are subject to $25 extra per night with a minimum night stay.
Corner Rooms are $25 per night surcharge.
Room rates vary according to the season you book. All room types are the same rate in each season schedule except East and West End Corner Rooms. These rooms are $25 extra per night.
Rates are based on 4 persons for rooms with 2 queen beds. No more than one extra person is allowed with a $25 surcharge per night.
King Room rates are based on 2 people per room. No more than one extra person is allowed with a $25 per night surcharge.
Children under age 3 are not subject to extra charges. You are responsible for your own extra bedding. We do not provide pallets or rollaway beds. We do provide pack-n-play cribs if available.
We do not service your rooms daily however upon request for a $10 service charge we will service your room. Fresh towels available upon request.
El Governor Policies
Payment & Cancellation: A one night payment is charged at the time your room is booked. The balance of your stay is charged 6 days prior to arrival. You must cancel your stay within 7 days prior to your arrival or you will lose one night’s charge.
Refunds:
- To get a full refund you will need to cancel 7 days prior to your arrival but you will be subject to a $20 credit card processing fee.
- Any cancellations made after the 7th day will result in the loss of your one night deposit.
- There are no refunds for a no-show reservation.
Check-In: After 4:00 PM CST. Check-Out: Before 11:00 AM CST (late check-outs will result in additional fees).

No Pets allowed!
We, at the El Governor Resort Properties, pride ourselves in being a family destination. We want everyone to be comfortable and have a memorable experience with us. Any behavior that compromises our reputation will result in your immediate removal. Our properties are equipped with security cameras. Cursing, overindulgence, nudity, or just plain rudeness will not be tolerated.
El Governor’s quiet time is from 11:00 PM CST until 8:00 AM CST. Quiet time will be enforced. Please be considerate of other guests. Your children are your responsibility. Please know where they are. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and in all buildings.
Please report any problems with your room or with anything on the property. It will be taken care of as promptly as possible.
Each room is allowed one vehicle. Extra vehicles, watercrafts, and trailers must be parked in the overflow parking lot located in the RV Park. You must have a pass for each vehicle. Please see the reservation desk to obtain a pass. An Extra Vehicle pass is $10.00 a day per vehicle. Please display your pass on the dash of your vehicle so it can be seen. This is for your protection in case there is a problem with your vehicle (window down, lights left on, etc.). This identifies your vehicle as belonging on the premises.
Smoking:
- Smoking/Vaping only in designated areas
- No smoking in Rooms
- No smoking in Parking areas
- No smoking on balconies
- No smoking in bar
- No smoking on pool deck
Breaking this policy could resort in your eviction. Our property is equipped with security cameras.
Do not feed the seagulls from the balcony or building.
No grills or cooking on balconies.
No draining coolers or throwing anything from balconies.
Fireworks are prohibited on the property or on the beach.
Possession of illegal drugs will result in immediate eviction.
No skateboards or scooters or other toys that are mobile allowed on the premises.
Speed Limit in the parking lot is 5 MPH. Please be cautious of pedestrians.
